PoÅ™eÅ¡Ãn Castle was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries by members of the Bavorů ze Strakonic family as an administrative centre for its more distant possessions.

The blue-marked route from Kaplice to PoÅ™eÅ¡Ãn starts in Kaplice town park and follows the left bank of the MalÅ¡e.
The Hrady na MalÅ¡i route passes through PoÅ™eÅ¡Ãn.
