Pivarootsi – Windmill, Coast and Nature

The Pivarootsi Windmill was built in 1869 and restored in 2004. This makes Pivarootsi home to a structure that combines both historic substance and contemporary cultural offerings. The nature in Pivarootsi includes Estonia’s orchids, anemones, numerous hazel shrubs and junipers. The coast of the Pivarootsi Peninsula is also a resting place for several migratory bird species.
