Mooste: Manor Culture, Music and Lake Mooste

The main building of Mooste Manor was constructed in 1909 based on a design by August Reinberg. The cultural character of the area also includes several buildings with different histories and functions. Folgikoda, also known as the Folk House, is located in a former cowshed built in 1905. The Mill Theatre is housed in an approximately hundred-year-old sawmill and grain mill that was renovated in 2006.

The Mill Theatre is used for concerts, film screenings, conferences and theatre projects. Its complex also includes a museum and an exhibition room in an adjacent former sawmill building. The range of offerings is therefore not limited to a single type of event, but combines performances with insights into the history and use of the buildings.

In addition, the Centre of Competence for Ecological Construction offers a wide range of training programmes and organises educational and training events. Lake Mooste has a bathing area with a sandy beach. There is also a walking trail around the lake. This clearly separates the different activities: the bathing area is suited to spending time by the water, while the circular trail allows for a walk around the lake.
