Culture and History

The Szintezési Ősjegy is freely accessible; a short, easy-to-walk path with information boards and signposts leads there from the centre of Nadap.

The present-day Church of Saint Rosalia of Palermo in Nadap is a Neo-Gothic building designed by architect Jenő Hübner. Individual sections of Haladás Street and the streetscape of Rákóczi Street in Nadap are protected at the local level.

The Bronze Age weapons, jewellery and household objects found in the immediate vicinity of Nadap can be viewed at the Szent István Király Museum in Székesfehérvár.

Mihály Vörösmarty was baptised in Nadap on 3 December 1800. Mihály Vörösmarty’s baptismal font can be viewed in the church during Sunday and holiday Masses or by groups with prior registration.

Nature and Landscape

A considerable part of Nadap’s undeveloped areas is protected and belongs to the Natura 2000 ecological network.

Csúcsos-hegy offers views of Lake Velence and the wooded slopes of the surrounding area; it can be reached via a pleasant hiking trail and is especially popular with hikers, cyclists and amateur photographers. It is also a popular destination for paragliders, although there are only a few launch sites there.

The slopes of Meleg-hegy are home to wildflower meadows, vineyards and rare bird species.

Trails and Activities

Templom-hegy, on the border of Nadap, is a historic and spiritual site. At the same time, it is a quiet, wooded destination for excursions, offering views of Nadap, towards Lovasberény and as far as the Meleg-hegy mountain range.

Several local hiking trails cross Meleg-hegy along the southern to south-eastern border of Nadap.

Horse riding opportunities are available in Nadap. Nadap is considered a starting point for hikes, panoramic photography, family outings and peaceful relaxation.
