Nature

The Sisakvirág nature trail is 9.5 km long and has an elevation difference of 420 m. It features eight information boards. Its starting point can be reached from Hűvösvölgy by bus 63 to the Nagykovácsi terminus, followed by a 20-minute walk.

History
The Teleki-Tisza Castle, formerly called Wattay Castle, is a single-storey Classicist building dating from around 1840. During the 1848–1849 War of Independence, it served as Görgey’s headquarters. The Calvary Chapel was built in 1832 in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows; the Stations of the Cross stand along the path leading to the hill.
The Roman Catholic parish church on the main square of Nagykovácsi is a Baroque national architectural monument; it was consecrated in 1746. The Szent-Sebestyén Chapel at the entrance to Nagykovácsi commemorates the 1737 cholera epidemic. It was consecrated by parish priest Pelzl on August 17, 1738, and completely rebuilt in 1900.
Culture
Ófalu in Nagykovácsi preserves characteristic Swabian features, including peasant houses, stone fences, and Catholic architectural monuments.
