Krosna is home to the Catholic Church of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, called “Šv. apaštalo evangelisto Mato bažnyčia” in Lithuanian. The building was constructed in 1842 and is located at Alytaus g. 53.
The Krosna manor was first mentioned in a document in 1688; the settlement was first mentioned in the 16th century under the name Krasnica.
Krosna and its surroundings serve as the setting for Walter Flex’s World War I novella “Der Wanderer zwischen beiden Welten”.
Krosna is located on Highway 131 (Alytus–Simnas–Kalvarija), 8 km west of Simnas.
