Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Vrela can continue searching for accommodation afterward. Vrela is first mentioned in a document by Ivan Crnojević in 1485. Historical accounts also place the settlement along the medieval route Kotor–Podgorica–Plav–Peć, which served as a caravan route; Vrela is mentioned as a water source and resting place, presumably also offering the possibility of an overnight stay.
Vrela is also associated with a historical tradition of milling. Four mills once operated along its stream. These included two brotherhood mills founded by Bishop Petar I in 1786, which had previously belonged to Cetinje Monastery.

The immediate surroundings of Vrela include Kosmač, Lašorska Pećina, Mali Siljevik, and Batrićeva Glavica. The surrounding area also contains Manastir Duljevo, Lipska Pećina, Praskvica, and Praskoica.
Geographical Location
Vrela is described as being located on the road from Cetinje toward Budva, approximately 9 kilometers from Cetinje. A 1.8-kilometer branch road leads from the settlement to the main road. Local reports also mention bus connections with Cetinje.
