Višnjevo: Hotels and Accommodations

Višnjevo is associated with a Latin cemetery on the Gusinje–Plav road, which belongs to the Roman heritage of the Gusinje area.

Connections

The Kruševo–Višnjevo road is 2 kilometers long and paved. Višnjevo is also connected by a paved road to Vojno Selo and the tourism zone of Plav.

Cycling

The Osmica cycling race passes through Višnjevo and has a rest stop at Ali Paša's Springs. On the 55.19-kilometer „Plav Cultural Route by Bike“, Višnjevo is a stop between Hakanje and Kruševo; the route includes the village in its course.

The approximately 30-kilometer Plav-Gusinje-Plav cycling route passes through Višnjevo and uses the main road. Of the nine cycling routes in the Plav-Gusinje area, it is the only one that does so. Along this route, there are opportunities to visit local households and taste honey, kajmak, plums, and other local products.

PL01 – Gusinje reaches Višnjevo on the southern side of Lake Plav and continues toward Gusinje. The section passing through Višnjevo lies on the low-traffic southern side of the route between Gusinje, Kruševo, Hakanje, and Plav. PL01 – Gusinje is described as an easy 29.4-kilometer route in the shape of a figure eight, with a total elevation gain of 339 meters.

On its final loop, PL01 returns to Višnjevo and turns toward Plav. The return journey from Višnjevo to Plav leads over low hills with views of Lake Plav and Plav. PL01 combines cycling through Višnjevo with protected fly-fishing areas on the Ljuča and Lim rivers.

The section of PL01 passing through Višnjevo uses 26 kilometers of paved road and 3 kilometers of macadam or dirt road. Cycling is generally possible there year-round, except during heavy snowfall.

Hiking

For the Gusinje area, hiking routes through villages as well as through the Grebaje and Ropojane valleys are described. There are also viewpoints and routes toward Ropojansko Lake and Ali-Pasha Springs.
