Culture

Margonin was first recorded in 1364; the town received its municipal rights before 1402.

Protected cultural heritage includes the historic urban layout of Margonin and the complex of the Church of Saint Adalbert, including the bell tower, rectory and Catholic cemetery.

The present-day Church of Saint Adalbert was rebuilt in 1753–1755 on the site of an earlier 15th-century church.
