The 2015–2020 village development plan describes several cycling and hiking routes connected with Zatom Nowy. The blue western section of the Nadwarciański Szlak Rowerowy runs through the village from east to west along Provincial Road 198. The western route leads from Zatom Nowy along the north bank of the Warta toward Międzychód; in the opposite direction, the route continues to Sieraków, Poznań and the Jeziorsko Reservoir.

A section of the Nadwarciański Szlak Rowerowy from Międzychód to Poznań also runs along the Warta through Zatom Nowy. The black connecting route offers another point of reference: at 7.1 km, it runs from Chorzępowo via Zatom Nowy and the Warta ferry to Zatom Stary and Ławica. This distance describes the entire connection, not just the section in the village.

For hikers, the red PTTK trail passes through Zatom Nowy from Sieraków via the Warta ferry and Kukułka toward Chojno and Mokrze. Its endpoint is listed at 65.1 km.
