Three horse-riding trails and several cycling routes run through Marcjanów. The routes differ in length, proportion of unpaved sections and, for the cycling routes, their designated difficulty. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is a listed monument dating from the mid-19th century; possible construction years given are 1864 or 1884. During the Second World War, part of Marcjanów was home to the Jewish ghetto “Czachulec”.

Orange horse-riding trail No. 3 is named “CO MA KOŃ DO WIATRAKA?”. It is 12.5 kilometres long, 90 percent unpaved, and runs from Młodzianów via Nowy Świat and Marcjanów back to Młodzianów. Orange horse-riding trail No. 6, “SZLAKIEM OZÓW, WIATRAKA I KAPLICZEK”, is 11.3 kilometres long. Its unpaved section accounts for 80 percent; the route runs from Żdżary via Marcjanów and Nowy Świat to Młodzianów.

A third option is the green horse-riding trail “SZLAK RATAFI”. This circular route is 13.4 kilometres long and 81 percent unpaved. It runs from Żdżary via Marcjanów back to Żdżary. The figures for length and surface allow the three routes to be compared objectively without treating them as equivalent: “SZLAK RATAFI” is the longest of these horse-riding trails, while trail No. 3 has the highest stated proportion of unpaved sections.

The yellow cycling route “Pętla Kawęczyńska” is 26.5 kilometres long and 33 percent unpaved. It runs from Kawęczyn via Marcinów, Potworów, Czajków, Marianów (Siewieruszki), Wojciechów, Milejów, Tokary Drugie, Żdżary, Marcjanów, Nowy Świat and Dzierzbotki back to Kawęczyn. This route is rated “easy” and has a 36-metre elevation difference, four educational stops and one viewpoint. It also connects with the “Panorama” educational cycling routes.

A longer option, rated difficult, is the blue cycling route IV “Z WAŁU MALANOWSKIEGO NAD LIPICKIE MOKRADŁA”. It is 34.7 kilometres long, 47 percent unpaved, and runs from Skarżyn via Żdżary (Gozdów) and Marcjanów back to Skarżyn. Its listed features include educational stops 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13, as well as viewpoints 4 and 5. The route connects with the municipal “Malanów” educational cycling routes and the “Skarby Ziemi Sieradzkiej” cycling route.

Cycling route IV also passes through Marcjanów; its southern section runs through the “Lipickie Błota” natural and landscape complex. When choosing a route, therefore, you can compare not only distances: 33 percent of “Pętla Kawęczyńska” is listed as unpaved, compared with 47 percent of blue cycling route IV. The “easy” and “difficult” categories apply to the specific cycling routes.

The landscape of the Teleszyna Valley stretches across the municipality of Kawęczyn. It belongs to the Uniejowski Protected Landscape Area. This classification applies to the wider travel area and should be distinguished from the specific route of cycling route IV: its southern section is part of the “Lipickie Błota” natural and landscape complex.

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary is a listed monument dating from the mid-19th century. The possible construction years given are 1864 or 1884. In April 2009, the chapel was dismantled for renovation. Following the intervention of the Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments, it was restored to its original historic condition.

The Jewish ghetto “Czachulec” is also part of the village’s history: during the Second World War, it was located in part of Marcjanów. This historical context sits alongside the chapel’s history, but concerns a different period and a different experience of the village’s past.
