Discover Culture and Village Life in Czyżów

• In 2025, people gathered to sing again at the village community centre, together with the local branch of the University of the Third Age, children from Czyżów and the children's folk ensemble “Mali Hamernicy”.
• The annual Christmas gathering took place in December 2025. Residents and guests were invited.
• The new children's playground behind the community centre was already in use in June 2023.

Several groups came together to sing: children from Czyżów, the local branch of the University of the Third Age and the children's folk ensemble “Mali Hamernicy”. This brought children and older participants together for a shared musical event.

In 2026, a group of senior members of the branch in Czyżów also gave an artistic performance. This differs from singing together: it was a performance by the senior group. Both examples give culture enthusiasts different points of reference when including local events in their travel plans.

The annual Christmas gathering in December 2025 was organised by the Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich and the University of the Third Age. Residents and guests were invited. The Christmas carol singing also took place again in 2025; no separate date for that event is specified.

Children from Czyżów took part in the singing. Another point of interest is the children's playground behind the community centre, which was already in use in June 2023. These are two distinct considerations for planning: children's participation in a community event and a playground as a place in its own right. If the playground is important for your visit, check its current condition in advance.

At the Powiatowe Dożynki in Gdów, the Koło Gospodyń Wiejskich from Czyżów prepared a stand with traditional foods. This contribution from community life adds a culinary aspect to the musical and community events. It is also important to distinguish the venues: the food stand was at the festival in Gdów, while the singing and gathering took place in Czyżów.
