Grodno Castle is located in Zagórze Śląskie, on Mount Góra Choina. The medieval castle has a history spanning more than 700 years; its origins at this site date back to the time of the Silesian Piasts. Rogowiec Castle offers a different historical reference point: it was first mentioned on 8 September 1292. These details refer to different things—Grodno’s long history, with medieval beginnings, and the precisely dated first mention of Rogowiec.

The Walim Tunnels are an underground tourist route in the “Rzeczka” complex. They lie on the eastern slope of Mount Ostra, which is 653.3 m high, between Walim and Rzeczka. The complex comprises around 500 m of tunnels. A guard building houses exhibits and a few documents about the various complexes.

The difference in length is one kilometer, while the starting point and type of route are the same for both. Dzikowiec is also home to a 38.5 m observation tower. Its viewing platform is 32.5 m above the ground, so the tower’s overall height and the platform height are two different measurements.
