Podkowa Leśna is a garden city on the Łowicz–Błońska Plain, in the Młochowski Forest area, about 25 km southwest of Warsaw.

Culture and Trails

Podkowa Leśna developed into a distinctive garden-city settlement in the 1920s. Its architectural heritage includes pre-war buildings and contemporary residential styles, as well as St. Christopher's Church, the WKD Podkowa Leśna Główna railway station and the former casino building. This also makes the town interesting for travellers interested in garden-city history and architecture.

Several signposted tourist trails run through Podkowa Leśna and its immediate surroundings. The routes are associated with woodland landscapes and the seasonal observation of plants, old trees, birds and squirrels.
