Jasień was formerly a village and is now part of the town of Ustrzyki Dolne in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Bieszczady County.

Jasień’s religious heritage includes an Orthodox church that was later converted into a Uniate church. In addition, a brick Roman Catholic church was built after 1740 and consecrated in 1743.

The history of Jasień includes its relocation in 1559 under Wallachian law, as well as the settlement of Wallachian people.

In more recent history, Jasień was temporarily under Soviet and German administration during and after the Second World War before the place returned to Poland after February 15, 1951.
