History
Grabin has documented medieval origins: the place was mentioned in records in 1325 and appears in documents from the time of the Teutonic Order as land belonging to the Ostróda commandery. A mill operated in Grabin is documented for 1493; it continued to operate until the mid-16th century. Historical records associate Grabin with fishing rights on Lake Kraplewskie: in 1543, Prince Albrecht granted Kasper Zedlitz the right to fish there.
