Nature and History

Wygryny was founded in 1711 between Lake Wygryńskie, also known as Jezioro Wygryny, and Lake Bełdany.

Getting Around

A 9 km-long hiking and cycling trail runs through Wygryny from Ruciane-Nida via Guzianka and Wygryny to Kamień.

Wygryny is directly connected to Ruciane-Nida by county road 1646 N; regional road 610 runs nearby.

In winter, a 7 km-long red ski trail connects Ruciane-Nida with Wygryny and includes viewpoints overlooking Lake Bełdany.

Culture

Wygryny has Masurian wooden houses dating from the late 19th century.

Wygryny is part of the 39 km-long red Bełdany Loop. It runs from Ruciane-Nida through the Guzianka Lock, Wejsuny, Iznota and Wygryny, back to Ruciane-Nida.
