Several cycling routes, each described in different ways, are available for planning your trip. The Trasa Pojezierzy Zachodnich runs through the municipality of Choszczno on a 20 km section from its southern to northern boundary. This section is part of a 420 km route that runs from the border with the Federal Republic of Germany to Biały Bór.

The marked Green Route runs for 16.7 km from Choszczno to Recz. Another option is “Rowerem po Ziemi Choszczeńskiej”: at 83 km, this is the main tourist cycling route in the municipality of Choszczno.

A prominent historic building is the Roman Catholic Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Knights Hospitaller built it in the 14th century. Inside are a ceramic Tree of Jesse relief depicting the genealogy of Christ and a 15th-century epitaph for the mayor Mikołaj Rebentisch. The defensive walls of Choszczno date from the 14th and 15th centuries. At the corner of Piastowska and Wolności Streets, a Gothic tower belonging to the barbican outwork of the Stone Gate complex has also been preserved.

Other visible links to the city’s history include the water tower, built in 1903, and the Aleja Gwiazd Kolarstwa Polskiego, unveiled in 2002. The Muzeum Ziemi Choszczeńskiej preserves several hundred movable artefacts dating from the Stone Age to the present day. Visits must be confirmed in advance. Lake Klukom lies in the centre of Choszczno and is surrounded by a promenade. The lakeside recreation area includes fishing spots. The original layout of the walking paths has been preserved in Moniuszki Park. Miejska Góra is a walking area with running trails. Golf enthusiasts can also find the 9-hole Orli Las course at the Modry Las golf area. In the wider travel area, Drawieński National Park is a protected part of the ancient Drawska Forest. The marked hiking trails in the municipality of Drawno, in the national park and its surroundings total 77 km.
