Stare Kaleńsko: Accommodation and cycling routes

The Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji “Stare Kaleńsko” is located in the forest by Lake Kaleńskie. The operator lists 80 to 110 overnight places in the main building and 120 places in the holiday cottages. Capacity may change, so confirm the figures with the operator before booking.

Leisure facilities are also part of the decision to stay there: guests can use a supervised bathing area, mini golf, a sauna, and hire water sports equipment and touring bicycles. There are also sports courts, a fitness room, billiards and an air rifle shooting range. These facilities are reserved for OSiR guests.

There is a bathing area on the OSiR grounds by Lake Kaleńskie during the 2026 bathing season. Accommodation guests are also offered access to a supervised bathing area; this is one of the OSiR’s facilities and is not listed as open to the general public.

A paved route from Żelisławie passes through Stare Kaleńsko, by the holiday centre. After about 4 km, it reaches a railway crossing; beyond it, Lake Krzemno, known for its lobelia, can be seen on the left. The lake is not in Stare Kaleńsko, but is a point of interest along the described route.

Nearby, the Głaz Graniczny erratic boulder can be reached from Czaplinek via the black “Lobeliowe jeziora” cycling route. A signposted 70 m path leads from the route to the boulder. A description published in February 2026 mentions this signage; check the signs before setting out.

The red “Drawa” cycling loop is 60.7 km long and starts and ends in Złocieniec. It runs through Bobrowo, Kaleńsko Górne, Nowe Kaleńsko, Stare Kaleńsko, Wrzoski and Siemczyno. The route description dates from 2019; check current trail conditions before your ride.

A paved path from Żelisławie passes through Stare Kaleńsko, where the green and black cycling routes run. It is also advisable to check current conditions for this connection. Another option is the approximately 46 km, unmarked hiking and cycling route around Lake Drawsko. It runs from Czaplinek via Kołomąt, Stare Drawsko, Kuźnica Drawska, Kluczewo, Bolegorzyn, Warniłęg, Rzepowo, Głęboczek, Siemczyno, Żelisławie and Stare Kaleńsko, back to Czaplinek. As the route is unmarked, you should plan its course in advance.

In the wider region, two other circular routes start and end at the market square in Czaplinek: the black “Lobeliowe jeziora” cycling route is 33.3 km long, and the green “Dobrzyca” cycling route is 45.1 km long. These figures give you a comparison of route lengths; the described course of these two loops does not pass through Stare Kaleńsko.
