Culture and History
Barbu Monastery was founded between 1664 and 1669 by Captain Barbu Bădeanu. The monastery includes a church dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel that is classified as a historic monument. Barbu Monastery is located in the village of Leiculești in Tisău Commune.

Motorsport
The licensed motocross enduro track near Izvoranu in Tisău Commune is 2,000 meters long. The enduro base in Izvoranu offers introductory motocross enduro courses and is a starting point for motorcycle excursions on individually tailored routes with beginner, intermediate, and advanced difficulty levels.
The well-known motocross enduro event takes place every year in the village of Izvoranu in Tisău Commune. Izvoranu Racing Park hosted the final round of the 2024 Romanian National Endurocross Championship on November 2, 2024.
