Jagodina Zoo was founded on 9 July 2006 and was the first zoo south of Belgrade. Jagodina Wax Museum opened on 28 April 2008 as Serbia’s first and only wax museum and the sixth in Europe. It features 34 exhibits from the fields of history, religion, politics, science, culture and sport. The city centre is also home to an old stone bridge, which is considered an interesting example of Ottoman architecture.

The Church of the Holy Archangel Michael, known as Stara Crkva, is one of the city’s notable historic sites. It was built by Prince Miloš Obrenović; construction began in 1818. Together with the old stone bridge, it offers two different historical reference points: the church represents 19th-century Serbian architectural history, while the bridge represents Ottoman architecture.

The Kočin Oak is around 300 years old. It stands at the place where Captain Koča led soldiers in 1788 to liberate Serbia from the Ottomans. The historical connection is therefore directly linked to a specific place. The Kocin Oak complex also includes walking paths, a sports field, a children’s playground and pavilions with terraces. It therefore offers not just a single memorial site, but several documented features for spending time outdoors.
