Ljig: Rajac, Thermal Springs and Cultural Sites

The landscape of the Rajac mountain plateau is characterised by meadows and pastures. The Banja Ljig spa is located 1 kilometre from Ljig and is used for recreational and balneological purposes. Cultural destinations include, among others, the House of the First Pharmacy in Ljig, church sites in Dići, Slavkovica and Ba, as well as the local church with its patron saint's feast. In the village of Ba, the medieval Church of Saint Elias stands at the source of the Ljig River. It is surrounded by a cemetery and an old bell tower. Based on its stylistic features, the church is dated to the beginning of the 15th century.

The Ljig Cultural Days take place every year in July, during the week before the Rajac Haymaking Festival. They therefore constitute a separate recurring event date alongside the historical and landscape orientation. Kosidba na Rajcu has been held for more than half a century in July on Mount Rajac near Ljig.
