Czech Republic is the country of not only hospitable hosts, great beer, amazing history and incredible architecture, but also enthusiastic travelers. According to a recent study, despite the global financial crisis, this year more than 70% of Czechs are planning to spent their holidays mostly abroad and to spend on travel greater amount than last year.
According to a study conducted by GE Money Bank, about 70 percent of Czechs are planning to spend their holidays during the next 12 months. Approximately 60 percent of surveyed want to spend their holidays abroad, mainly in Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovakia, and Egypt. The average family with two children plans to spend over 1500 dollars on booking accommodation and flights, which considerably exceeds the amount spent on holiday last year.
The study also showed that in addition residents of the Czech Republic plan to spend about 350 dollars on gifts and entertainment that are not included in the tour price. It is noteworthy that these amounts will be spent mostly in cash, not using credit cards, exchanged money for the national currency of the country in which the vacation is planned to be spent. Also according to inexorable statistics 90 percent of Czechs take additional cash with them. About 60% will rely on bank cards only as a last resort, and only every 12th resident of the Czech Republic will use the ATM for withdrawing cash abroad.
Among other research has shown that residents of the Czech Republic are very frugal to their money and more than 75% of holidaymakers, as a rule, do not exceed the planned budget of their trip.
One of the most widespread phobias related with travel among the inhabitants of the Czech Republic are car accidents, specific diseases related to the country of vacation. One of the most common fears is cheating and stealing and especially - theft of documents.
