Gymnast from Belarus Alesya Vazmitsil was among the winners of the Sports & Fitness World Championship 2011, which ended last Saturday in Budaörs near the Hungarian capital of Budapest.
Sports & Fitness World Championship is a sport that causes exceptionally active debates as pole dancing, which progenitor is an erotic pole dance or simply striptease and circus acrobatics.
It should be noted that in contrast to the traditional striptease, pole dance earned worldwide recognition as a form of fitness, based on aerobic and anaerobic exercises, which require not only grace and agility, but also strong endurance, flexibility and coordination.
During recent time pole dancing has been widely spread around the world, mostly in such countries as USA, Australia and several European countries, where fans of this sport fight for the recognition of pole dancing as a type of sport and art.
Since 2003 interest in exotic dancing increased dramatically in many countries, where are now held many international competitions and pole dance world championship. Competition participants are not allowed to show intimate gestures or nudity, the main criteria for evaluation are athleticism and artistry instead of sexuality in striptease.
The current Sports & Fitness World Championship was held not far from the Hungarian capital of Budapest in Budaörs. This year in the championship took part 39 women from 26 countries, 13 of which reached the final.
The gold medal in single pole dancing won a gymnast from Belarus Alesya Vazmitsil, who was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, had already got the third place at the Pole dance & Fitness World Championships on Jamaica and the 4th place at the World Championships in Zurich.
