XIX Annual Festival of Polish and Belarusian songs "Bialystok-Grodno" will take place near the Polish-Belarusian border in Bialystok (Poland) and Grodno (Belarus).
"Bialystok-Grodno" festival is held annually in the Polish and Belarusian border cities. According to preliminary estimates, this year's festival will attract more than 300 artists, amateurs and professionals from both countries. In addition to soloists and ensembles representing national minorities in Belarus and Poland in the festival will take part folk artists, writers and other representatives of culture and art.
The festival of Polish and Belarusian songs "Bialystok-Grodno" is designed for cultural exchange and integration of national minorities living in the bordering areas. According to the statistics, the largest Belarusian community in Poland lives in the Podlasie province, while in Grodno concentrates the largest number of Poles in Belarus.
This song festival is one of the most important cultural events organized by the Belarusian community in Poland. According to the organizers, music not only integrates, but also mitigates social and cultural relations between the two countries.
