One of largest European rock festivals, WOODSTOSK, for the first time will be held in Ukraine in the Vinnytsa region on the Kalinovsky airfield from 28 to 30 of August.
WOODSTOSK music festival (Przystanek Woodstock) was first organized by the Polish non-profit charitable public organization the Great Orchestra of Festival Aid in 1995 to raise funds for purchasing medicines and diagnostics of serious children diseases.
Since its creation Przystanek Woodstock festival has undergone significant changes and has become the largest open-air festival in Europe, which is annually visited by more than half a million people (more than 700 000 in 2011). Among the guests of the Przystanek Woodstock festival were such famous bands as IRA, Myslovitz, Dżem, Acid Drinkers, 2TM2, 3, The Stranglers, Papa Roach, The Prodigy, Guano Apes, Kontrust, Clawfinger, Nigel Kennedy, Gentleman, Undrop and Korpiklaani.
Ukrainian festival will be held in the Vinnitsa region on the Kalinovsky airfield (north of the Vinnitsa city) from 28 to 30 of August and will gather Ukrainian and foreign artists performing music in the style of rock, ethno, folk and metal. One of the special guests will be a Polish rock band Enej.
