Bideyiz: Hotels and accommodations

The Bideyiz Temple is registered as a historical monument in Bideyiz and classified as being of national importance. The village area is associated with an ancient Albanian temple and another Albanian temple.

Culture and history

Bideyiz is located on the banks of the Küngüt, a tributary of the Əyriçay, in the Alazan-Əyriçay depression. Nearby is an Albanian church in the mountainous area, described as being more than 1,000 years old and still structurally preserved. Historical objects were found at this church. In the flat areas around it, jar burials were also discovered during agricultural work.

A second temple in the Bideyiz area is located about 4–5 km from the 12th-century monument and is also known as the unfinished church. Visits by people seeking healing are also associated with the Bideyiz Temple. The temple is described as having been built from river stones.

The roads branching off Bideyiz's main road make the village accessible on foot or by car; the local roads are sandy and flat, so cars can travel on them easily in winter. Bideyiz is connected to Orta Zəyzid by a mountain road associated with the Alban Road.

A visit to another Albanian temple in the area of the village of Bideyiz was postponed because the road was impractical.
