Chaciežyna: Hotels and accommodations

Chaciežyna combines history, religious sites, and leisure attractions.

History and culture

The documented history of Khatsyezhyna dates back to 1800; at that time, there were 10 farmsteads and 61 inhabitants there. Local tradition connects the place name Khatsyezhyna with Count Khatezhin, who founded an estate there in the 19th century. In 1942, a partisan unit involving residents of Khatsyezhyna was reorganized into the Chkalov partisan brigade.

The Village Day in Khatsyezhyna included a crafts fair featuring artisans from all over the country. The Village Day ended with a Roma show and an open-air disco.

The new Saint Nicholas chapel in Khatsyezhyna was consecrated in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker; the first Divine Liturgy followed this consecration. Leisure

A straw labyrinth in Khatsyezhyna became a recreation spot regularly visited by families with children, groups of friends, and other visitors. It had winding paths and was built from more than 300 straw bales.

The straw labyrinth could be explored in two ways: from inside, searching for the exit, or from above, after climbing up to observe the people below. Beside the straw labyrinth stood a mill installation with figures of a grandfather and a girl, made from 14 round bales.
