Tarasava: Hotels and Accommodations

Culture

A schedule of services for August 2026 is listed for the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Tarasovo. From 2003 to 2009, the Tarasovo church choir performed spiritual and folk programs at various concert venues in Belarus and Germany. The Tarasovo Sunday school is organized as a family-type school in which parents participate in the creative and educational process.

On January 7 and 11, 2026, young artists from the Tarasovsky Bell community theater congratulated the clergy and parishioners on Christmas after the services. The Tarasovo parish was announced as the venue for the annual Ostroshski Readings; that edition was announced as the fourth.

History

Tarasovo has been documented since at least 1477. In 1515, the settlement was acquired by Prince Konstantin Ivanovich Ostroshsky and later developed into a mestechko, a local administrative, commercial, and craft center. The settlement’s Orthodox tradition is associated with the construction of the first church in the 17th and 18th centuries.

A commemorative plaque bearing the image of Prince Konstantin Ostroshsky was unveiled in connection with the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Mother of God in Tarasovo. A memorial alley honoring Blessed Prince Konstantin Ostroshsky was also established in connection with this church.
