Osenovo: Hotels and Accommodations

On the road to Osenovo lies the weathered limestone formation known as “The Wedding”. It is visible from the road and can be accessed free of charge on the route from Bansko or Gotse Delchev to Osenovo. In 1976, it was declared a natural monument and covers 13.1 hectares. The limestone slope above Osenovo is locally called “Saint Elijah”. It is associated with a traditional legend according to which deer descend from the forests before Saint Elijah’s Day.

In the old village of Osenovo, a chapel dedicated to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary was built on the site of the church in 2005.
