Medovo: Hotels and Accommodation

Chateau Medovo has a Crafts Street where visitors can make items using traditional Bulgarian craft techniques. The complex uses architecture from the Bulgarian National Revival period, dry-stone masonry, original wooden elements and cobbled lanes inside.

The Church of St Nicholas in Medovo was founded in 1870. Church services take place only on major religious holidays. Traditionally, Medovo organizes celebrations that visitors can observe.

The mineral water in Medovo and in its ethnographic complex is described as suitable for balneological treatments.

North of Medovo, the Aheloy River makes a bend; the Aheloy Reservoir lies on this river.

Medovo is described as being located on a north-facing, hilly slope. The heights above the settlement are said to offer views towards Sunny Beach, Nessebar, Ravda, Aheloy and Pomorie.

The village administration of Medovo suggests a one-day hiking excursion entitled “In the Footsteps of Tsar Simeon”. The cycling route “Черноморски велоуикенд” starts in Medovo and passes through the eastern hills of the Aytoska Planina to the Black Sea.
