Dobrich: Hotels and accommodations

The Dobrich Ethnographic House was built in 1860 and is one of the best-preserved architectural monuments from the period of the Bulgarian National Revival.

Through clothing, textiles, and household objects, the house presents Bulgarian culture and the regional character of Dobrudja between two historical periods.

The Dobrich Art Gallery is housed in a building listed as a neoclassical cultural monument. In nine halls, it displays permanent collections of painting, sculpture, and graphic art. It also possesses a paper collection described as unique in Bulgaria.

The Old Dobrich Architectural and Ethnographic Open-Air Museum presents and preserves traditional crafts of Dobrudja from the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.

The Old Dobrich Educational Museum conducts educational programs for schoolchildren, young people, students, and Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

Old Dobrich includes an inn, a restaurant, a tavern, and a café offering traditional Bulgarian dishes.

The Dobrich Military Cemetery Museum Complex is a cultural asset of national importance.

The Dobrich Military Cemetery was established in 1916 during the Battle of Dobrich and contains approximately 3,500 burials from six national armies, ten nationalities, and six faiths.

The Yordan Yovkov Memorial House houses Bulgaria’s only permanent museum exhibition dedicated to the life and creative career of Yordan Yovkov, as well as the largest collection dedicated to the writer. The building received the Archskar architecture award.

Dobrich’s St. George City Park was established in 1860 and is designated as a monument of park art. It also includes designated cycling routes.

The Dobrich Center for Nature Protection and Animal Protection is Bulgaria’s first licensed zoo.

The “Nature of Dobrudja” exhibition depicts the typical flora, fauna, and biodiversity of Dobrudja using panoramic scenes.
