Rosen: Hotels and accommodations

Nature

Near Rosen, there is a fishing site about 1.8 km northeast of the village on the bank of the Luda Yana. A 1.6 km-long unpaved road leads to this site, branching off from the asphalt road on the Rosen–Road 8003 section. In addition, a body of water in the Rosen area is associated with fishing opportunities.

Culture

Rosen is associated with a memorial bust from the Second World War dedicated to Pencho Angelov Garev (Daskala), as well as with a memorial plaque for Aleksandar G. Petkov. Palm Sunday remains Rosen's biggest celebration and is organized jointly by the community center and the mayor's office. The community center in Rosen has organized reenactments of folk customs, including Babin Den, St. George's Day, and Enyovden.

The Angel Velichkov-1902 community center in Rosen was founded in 1902. Its library grew from 200 volumes in 1928 to more than 14,500 volumes. The building contains a library hall, a concert hall, and several smaller rooms. The Rosna Kitka folklore group operates through the local community center and includes the Rosenche children's singing and dancing group. Rosna Kitka returned from a festival of authentic songs with nine gold and three silver medals. A dance ensemble was founded in Rosen in 2009.

History

Seven Thracian burial mounds are located in the Rosen area. Two burial mounds about 2.5 km northwest of Rosen are associated with the late Roman or early Byzantine fortified settlement of Hisarya at a bend in the Luda Yana in the land of Tsar Asen. Ceramic fragments from an older settlement have been recorded about 1 km northwest of Rosen.

According to local tradition, during Rosalia, sick people visited the area northwest of Rosen to lie in the dew and seek healing.
