Mogilino: Hotels and Accommodations

Mogilino is located in the southeastern part of Bulgaria’s hilly Danubian Plain. The village is situated on a high hill at an altitude of 385 meters; its relief consists of heavily dissected semi-mountainous terrain.

Culture

The Orthodox Church of Saint Dimitar was built by the priest Todor Marinov, who is buried in its churchyard. The church in Mogilino celebrated its patron saint’s feast day, during which a water-blessing ceremony was held, and marked its 125th anniversary with a Divine Liturgy.

The Chitalishte “Selsko sabuzhdane 1899” is Mogilino’s only center for education and culture. It organizes celebrations from the local calendar as well as joint initiatives for children and adults dedicated to restoring Mogilino’s traditions and customs.

The collection of the library of the Chitalishte “Selsko sabuzhdane 1899” records a total of 4,413 books in 2024, as well as visits to the lending room and reading room.

Mogilino’s cultural program in 2024 included an Easter horo on the village square, an Enyovden gathering at sunrise in a meadow outside the settlement, and the local fair “Sbra se nashe selo.”
