Zagrazhden: Hotels and Accommodation

The Zagrazhden Eco Trail is a circular route of approximately 13 km along the Zagrazhdenska River, beginning and ending in Zagrazhden. The route includes wooden bridges, cascades, the Roman Bridge, and the Chistilishteto and Kozarnika waterfalls. Culture

The community center in Zagrazhden houses a museum collection featuring traditional household items, tools, folk costumes, vessels, wool-processing equipment, a loom, and butter-making equipment. The Church of St. George the Conqueror stands directly beside it in the center of Zagrazhden. It was consecrated on July 4, 2021, and has a wooden iconostasis made by craftsmen from Momchilovtsi.

Visitors can also try on Rhodope folk costumes at the community center and learn words from the local dialect.

Cuisine

Zagrazhden is associated with handmade bread baked according to an old Bulgarian recipe in a wood-fired stone oven.
