Hvoyna: Hotels and Accommodation

Hvoyna is the starting point of a 200-kilometer cross-border eco-route along the Chernatitsa Ridge. In addition, local hiking trails lead to mountain huts and neighboring villages.

Local Life and History

Hvoyna has family-run accommodations and dining establishments offering local dishes and authentic Rhodope music. The preserved Church of St. Elijah in Hvoyna dates from 1857; its annual festival is still held there.

The area surrounding Hvoyna includes Sredni Livadi, Gluhi Vrah, Cherni Vrah, and Tsirikova Tsarkva. The wider region around Hvoyna is home to the Snezhanka Tower.

Getting There

Hvoyna is the settlement closest to Road II-86. The bus station is next to the road; the turnoff to the village is on the right.
