Anton: Hotels and Accommodations

The Municipality of Anton forms part of the UNESCO area “Man and the Biosphere Central Balkan Biosphere Park”. This affiliation connects the town with a broader region of protected landscape and cultural identity.

The Boatin Nature Reserve is located approximately eight kilometers from Anton. It protects extensive beech forests in the western part of Central Balkan National Park. Some trees are estimated to be 170 to 200 years old.

Getting Around

Anton provides access to Central Balkan National Park via the Vartopa area. Mountaineers use the town as a starting point for ascents toward the main ridge of the Stara Planina.

The Municipality of Anton is crossed by the Sofia–Karlovo–Burgas railway line and the Sofia–Burgas Sub-Balkan Road. As a result, the wider municipal area has rail and road connections.
