Zasele: Hotels and Accommodation

Nature and Trails

The Vazova Eco Trail connects Zasele with Gara Bov and is described as an improved and secured route to the Skaklya Waterfall. Along the trail, there are rest areas and views towards the waterfall. Culture and History

At the larger burial mound there is a Christian votive site marked by a large stone cross. The crosses at the Zasele burial mound are made of local sandstone and decorated with engraved ornaments. The complex of burial mound and votive site represents more than 2,000 years of continuity in preserving and venerating a sacred place.

A site in the Zasele area is associated with the Thracian name Meteriza. In the center of the village, the Zasele war memorial commemorates 37 locals who died in the First and Second Balkan Wars as well as the First and Second World Wars.
