Culture
Several specific buildings shape the history of the settlement. Kameni most, locally known as the Franz Joseph Bridge, spans the gorge route from Ložišća towards Vičja luka and is described as a protected, rare 19th-century engineering monument. The parish house and the First School in Ložišća were built in 1857 and are a valuable example of residential and public architecture from the mid-19th century. The bell tower in Ložišća is described as a masterpiece by a Croatian master; it was intended for Venice, but reached Brač in 1899.
Landscape
Ložišća is situated on a very steep clearing. Stone houses climb up from a deep gorge along steep lanes. The climbing areas around Ložišće are surrounded by olive groves and pine forest.

History
Donji Pisk, also called Stara voda, was built in the early 19th century as one of the largest water collection points on Brač. The water in Donji Pisk was collected in stone basins and used to water livestock.
Local tradition
The inhabitants of Ložišća have cultivated grapevines and olives from the beginnings of the settlement to the present day.
