Mračin: Hotels and accommodations

Culture and history

The archaeological areas of Selo–Tomičići and Kapela–Banjavčići in Mračin have been officially recorded. The Škrinja–Tomičići archaeological site is also recorded.

A field survey in the central area of the field near Kapela–Banjavčići uncovered numerous stones, bricks, and several pieces of modern ceramics.

The chapel of Kapela–Banjavčići appears to have been demolished before 1774–1775, as it is missing from the Habsburg map from that period. According to local tradition, the former building was a chapel dedicated to Saint Mark.

The Škrinja stone trough south of Mračin is associated with ancient local quarries where sarcophagi were produced.
