Culture
The nearby town of Roč hosts the Mala glagoljska akademija every year, where students learn about the Glagolitic script and Glagolitic heritage. Since the 13th century, Roč has been an important centre of Glagolitic literary activity.
In Buzet, the local museum houses archaeological, ethnographic and historical collections, including copies of medieval frescoes and casts of Glagolitic inscriptions. The town also hosts recurring cultural and motorsport events. Nearby Buzet retains city walls and two city gates dating from its historical development during the Venetian period.
Roč preserves sections of walls and towers, as well as churches. The town was also associated with the traditional gathering “Z armoniku v Roč”, which took place on the second Sunday in May.
Routes
Route 514 follows the Mirna River from Most to Minjera and onwards to Rušnjak. It includes 6.1 kilometres of asphalt and 15.6 kilometres of gravel road.
Official cycling route 508 is a 26-kilometre loop from Buzet and Sveti Ivan via Kotli, Roč and Gornja Nugla back to Buzet. It runs over 11 kilometres of asphalt and 15 kilometres of gravel road, has 700 metres of elevation gain and an estimated riding time of 1:45 hours.
The Roč–Buzet cycling loop leads from Baredine onwards through Zrenj and Mali Mlun along the Bračana River.
Nature
Cycling routes in the Buzet area begin along the Mirna Valley. The Seven Waterfalls hiking trail is nearby; there is also an adventure park and maintained tourist trails.
