Trgetari: Hotels and Accommodation

The official 406 Arsia cycling route runs from Raša via Trget, Skitača and Salakovci back to Raša. On the Skitača Peninsula, the route passes through Trgetari, Sveti Lovreč Labinski, Viškovići and Brovinje before reaching Skitača. In nearby Trget, a fishing village in Raša Bay, the place name itself already refers to the history of crossing the water: Trget derives from the Croatian verb trgetarenje, which is derived from the Latin traiectum and refers to the transport of people and goods across the bay. In the village centre are the ruins of the Romanesque Church of St Justin with a semicircular apse.

Hiking

The official Vale di Tono hiking trail runs near Trgetari from Tunarica Camp via Viškovići, Skitača and Crna Punta back to Tunarica Camp. The route is around 15.7 km long and takes approximately 4.5 hours.

Food

In nearby Trget, the Fešta od pidoći is a traditional festival celebrating the fishing and culinary heritage and dedicated to mussels. The event offers freshly prepared mussel dishes and other seafood dishes. The Fešta takes place on the waterfront in Trget.

Nature

The nearby Ubas Peninsula is designated as a protected area because of its preserved Mediterranean flora and its large population of wild animals.
