Culture
Kloštar is associated with the remains of the Benedictine Abbey of St. Michael above Lim, which was founded at the beginning of the 11th century. The surviving complex includes parts of the cloister, two churches, Romanesque frescoes, and a cistern. According to local tradition, the foundation of the abbey is connected with Saint Romuald.
Nature
The Kontija Forest covers 65 hectares between Kloštar, Gradina, and Flengi. It contains a stand of European hornbeam that is more than 140 years old, as well as established hiking and cycling trails. The hillfort of Mukaba preserves visible dry-stone fortifications.
The 530-metre-long Fratarske škale footpath leads from the abbey area to the sea at Lim and has an elevation difference of 115 metres.

The family cycling route Na pustinjakovoj stazi passes through Kloštar and the Abbey of St. Michael. It is 9.5 kilometres long and has an elevation difference of 149 metres. The route uses 7.5 kilometres of gravel roads and 2 kilometres of asphalt.
