An official Istria-Bike trail reaches the pond in Krunčići after 2.8 km. The 29.6 km route is described as easy, has an elevation gain of 375 m, and is suitable for mountain bikes, e-bikes, and trekking bikes.

The Staza kapetana Morgana is described as a difficult circular route. It runs from Rovinjsko Selo via Sošići, Krunčići, Mrgani, and Kanfanar to Okreti, is 25.2 km long, and has an elevation gain of 264 m. This route also includes the 1.7 km Juralski brig–Krunčići section.

Wine

Vina Matošević operates a cellar and tasting room at Krunčići 2. The 1.5-hour portfolio tasting includes a cellar tour, an introduction to winemaking, a tasting of the current wine selection, and Istrian-style finger food.

Matošević started its garage winery in Krunčići in the mid-1990s. At that time, Matošević’s 1998 Anima Barrique Chardonnay won the Studec Award for the best white wine in Croatia.

Nature

Near Krunčići, Romualdova špilja is protected as a karst phenomenon and as a habitat for a colony of large bats. The cave contains prehistoric human artefacts and the remains of extinct animals.

An educational trail along Limski kanal is available nearby for walking or cycling.

History

North of Krunčići lies Krug. Bronze- and Iron-Age pottery fragments found there indicate a fortified hilltop settlement. Complete urns with cremated remains found east of the road below Krug are described as characteristic of the Iron Age.

The Church of St Lawrence near Sveti Lovreč dates from the eighth century; its Romanesque bell tower was added in the eleventh century. Limska Gradina lies on the northern edge of a plateau at 158 metres above sea level and overlooks the end of Limski kanal. The prehistoric archaeological site between Krunčići and Jural is a fortified hilltop settlement: its southern and western sides are naturally protected by rocks, while dry-stone walls protected the access points to the north and east.

The traditional buildings in Krunčići are stone buildings with or without a baladura, stone cornices, and simple opening profiles. Simple stone-capped cisterns are frequently found among these traditional buildings.
