Garica is the starting point for the easy Kolmanica circular trail. The 7.2-kilometer circular hike begins in the village and includes 151 meters of elevation gain. It passes old dry-stone walls and olive groves and is suitable for easy hiking and trekking.

Culture and history

The central Church of Saint Peter the Apostle in Garica was built in 1793 using material from a former church in Kampelje dating from the 12th century. The annual Petrovo celebration takes place on June 29 in honor of Saint Peter.

In the area around the Kolmanica Trail, the route passes the remains of the medieval Church of Saint Chrysogonus. Its Romanesque features suggest that it dates from the 12th or 13th century. The trail then continues to Gradec Castle, which is associated with the Frankopan counts.
