The Javorova kosa hiking trail begins in the Vrh area of Ravna Gora. It follows marked paths through meadows and evergreen forest to a mountain hut, the BoĆŸji studenac spring, and panoramic viewpoints.
The âFruits of the Mountainsâ educational trail is located in the hilly Suhi Vrh area, about 700 meters from the center of Ravna Gora. Its starting point is on the meadow behind the Breza restaurant in Ravna Gora. Along the educational trail, information boards provide information about the vegetation of Gorski Kotar, including trees, shrubs, mushrooms, medicinal plants, and berries.
The printed âRavnogorske green trailsâ map shows the areaâs main cycling routes as well as natural attractions and cultural monuments.
Culture and history
The Church of Saint Teresa of Ăvila in Ravna Gora was originally built in 1777 and rebuilt in 1907 according to plans by the architect Hermann BollĂ©. The Chapel of Saint Florian is located along the Camino Gorski kotar route in the Ravna Gora area and was built in 1874.
Ravna Gora lies on the old Karolina Road, which connected the town with Karlovac and Rijeka after it was built in 1727.
Local life
The Ravnogorska Salamijada was held in 2025 for its third edition and in 2026 for its fourth. The 2025 event program also included a guided family hike on the âFruits of the Mountainsâ educational trail.
