Moravice: Hotels and accommodations

Lake Čogrljevo is a natural attraction in Moravice. It is fed by five small springs and formed by the Vede waterfall. History and culture

Moravice was founded at the end of the 16th century by refugees from Dalmatia. Refugees from Pounje, predominantly Orthodox, settled in Moravice at the beginning of the 17th century. The Orthodox Church of Saint George, built in 1900, stands in Moravice.

The seventh Moravački narodni običaji took place on November 24, 2018, at the cultural center in Moravice. The 2018 program in Moravice used a 60-minute presentation to show visitors traditions and customs from Moravice and other parts of Croatia.

Moravice developed further after the construction of the Zagreb–Rijeka railway via Karlovac and Ogulin. The event “Moravački narodni običaji” is described as an annual tradition-focused event organized by the Moravice women's association for residents and visitors.
