Cetina: Hotels and Accommodation

Cetina is home to the ruins of the Church of St. Saviour, dating from the 9th century. It is considered one of the best-preserved monuments of Croatia’s early medieval sacred architecture; its west tower is still standing. Culture

The Church of the Holy Saviour is listed in the Croatian Register of Cultural Goods. More than 1,100 graves have been found around the church.

Another structure is Pločasti most. The bridge is described as a unique example of spanning a river with Stećak slabs. The low, simple stone bridge is made up of 33 almost regularly shaped Stećak slabs.

Nature

The Cetina River rises at an altitude of 385 metres on the northwestern slopes of the Dinara near the village of Cetina.

The Vrela Cetine spring area comprises three significant springs: Veliko vrilo (Glavaš), Vukovića vrilo and Batića vrilo. The Cetina springs form the protected hydrogeological natural monument of Vrela Cetine. Vukovića vrilo is one of these three significant springs; clear blue-green karst water emerges there from a speleological formation.

Vrela Cetine covers 29.81 hectares and has been protected as a landscape of special significance since 1972.
