Ljubač is located above the Krka Canyon on a broad plateau. The terrain is characterized by stone, juniper, and other shrubbery; oak and hornbeam forests are also found in Ljubač.

The local history includes the Ljubač–Velika gromila archaeological site. Excavations there confirmed an Iron Age burial mound and uncovered approximately 200 fragments of Iron Age pottery.

Ljubač and Vrbnik once shared a church and a school before Ljubač separated and joined Knin.

The Ljubač cycling route runs from Knin through Ljubač, Matasi, Ljubotić, Čitluk, and Oklaj, returning to Knin.

The Knin zipline descent begins at Knin Fortress, runs over the hill area of Ljubač, and ends in Marunuša; it is 640 meters long. The system has two cables and three platforms. Mechanical cranes on the system provide access for people with disabilities.

Kninski muzej sought a five-year concession for organized descents for visitors on the existing Knin zipline polygon.
