Events

Every year on August 5, Čavoglave holds a public celebration commemorating the Croatian victory in Operation Storm. Attendance is described as exceeding 100,000 people.

History

On December 26, 2021, Čavoglave marked the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of “Bojna Čavoglave.” Since its release, the impact of “Bojna Čavoglave” has been described as follows: it positively influenced the morale of Croatian defenders and civilians, motivated Croatian defenders, and served as a unifying factor among Croats.

Nature

The Čikola rises below Mount Svilaja near Čavoglave and continues its course through Petrovo Field. At 46 kilometers, it is the longest tributary of the Krka.

Since 1967, the Čikola River and Čikola Canyon have held the status of a protected significant landscape. In the wider regional area around Čavoglave, Čikola Canyon offers hiking, climbing, and canyoning.
